this summer,

i’ve taken it upon myself to learn more about writing.

now, it’s not as easy as it sounds—the linguistics, syntax, the growth that our grammar has gone through under the weight of modern technology—it’s all part of the struggle. my “quest” is actually very similar to the theological quest for enlightenment, I’d say.

looking for God in the magic of our tounges here, ladies and gentleman.

i think it’ll be fascinating to see how it’ll influence my own writing, especially for school next semester. academic writing is not my favorite, but perhaps a new outlook on what “academic writing” truly entails will change all that.

currently reading about the mechanics of speech and writing, how these two inform and resonate within our perceptions of linguistics, and how it influences our idea of what it means to write “proper” English.

this shit’s cray, guys.
